Mark G. Plaisance, 54, a native and resident of Galliano, died at 2:40 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2012.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
He is survived by his companion, Kim Callais; father, Gillis Plaisance; brother, James Plaisance; brother-in-law, Donald Terrebonne Sr.; three sisters, Rebecca Plaisance, Yvette Plaisance and Ann Plaisance; grandchild, Brance Duhon; and godchild, Beth Duplantis.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ione P. Plaisance; and sister, Robin P. Terrebonne.
He was a crew boat captain for 30 plus years and a member of Houma Hog Chapter. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and loved spending time with family, friends and his beloved dog, Marley.
