Marie Roussell

Marie Roussell, 68, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La. and resident of Larose, La. passed away on September 30, 2021.
Visitation will be Monday October 11, 2021 from 9:00am until funeral services at Golden Meadow Baptist Christian Life Center. A celebration of life will be at 2:00pm at the Life Center with burial at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Marie is survived by her mother; Dolcina Dupre, brothers; Calvin (Gladys) Roussell, Louis (Angela) Roussell, sisters; Margaret Cantrelle, Dorothy Verdin, and Lula Cheyenne (Gerald) Johnfroe.
Marie was preceded in death by her father; Felix Roussell, brothers; Percy Roussell and Juris Roussell, Sr., brother-in-law; Jerry Verdin, Sr. and step-father; John Dupre
Marie stole the hearts of those she encountered with her bubbly personality and infectious
laugh. You couldn’t walk past her without her saying “Hey Boogie” Marie loved to dance and
listen to her “yo yo” (radio). She loved large gatherings and was the life of the party.
Marie was a very giving person who always wanted to give her stuff away. She was the happiest person ever.
