Marie Ledet

Marie Unia Ledet, a native of Chackbay and resident of Shriever, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the age of 91.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland and on Friday, October 31 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Victory Life Church in Lockport with a service in church at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Nativity Cemetery, Raceland.

She is survived by her children, Geraldine Babin (Gerald), Patsy Whipple, Barbara Knight (David), Beauregard Ledet, Jr. (Paulette), Raymond Ledet, Sr. (Patricia), Elizabeth Brooks (Kenneth) Lillie Ledet, Donna Rome (Reginald), Terry Thibodaux (Chris), Edgar Ledet (Lisa), Noreen Dardar (Thomas Jr.) Peter Ledet, Charlotte Johnson (Barry), Theodore "Ted" Ledet (Melanie), 37 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren, 8 step great grandchildren, 16 great great grandchildren, 5 step great great grandchildren and a half sister, Doris Shanchez.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Beauregard Ledet, Sr., father, Luicien Felician Landry, mother, Ernestine Russo, step-mother, Marie Vicknair, son, Curtis Ledet, grandson, Kenneth Brooks, Jr., great grandson, Anthony Dardar and siblings, Villier, Ernest, Moise and Joseph Landry, Noby Levron, Elise Cheramie, Leona Crochet, Annie Matherne, Mildred Keller, Bernie Aucion, and twins, Wilbert and Hazel Landry.
