Marie G. "Lou" Larpenter, 87, a native of Chacahoula and resident of Houma, passed away at 5:26 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home. Visitation will also be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by her sons, Steve and wife, Judy, Jerry and wife, Priscilla, Donald and wife, Cindy, and Floyd and wife, Monica Larpenter; daughters, Betty and husband, Joe Garibotte, Theresa "T" Liner, Florence "Tut" and husband, Jody Champagne and Elizabeth and husband, David Broussard; sister, Peggy Price; 23 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Antoine Larpenter; her parents, Joseph M. and Agnes LeBouef Gautreaux; sons, David and Ronald Larpenter; daughter, Earline Taylor; granddaughter, Amanda Larpenter; great-granddaughter, Ashley Tayor; brothers, Irvin, Roland, Ernest, Robert and Joseph Gautreaux Jr.; and sisters, Rita Cormadelle and Clarissa Brunet.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
