Marguerite "Mackey" Giroir, 87, a native and resident of Gibson, died at 10:09 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home Chapel and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Bayou Black Cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Roy Jr., and Merriel and wife, Maria Giroir; three daughters, Jean Marie Giroir, Susan Mary Giroir, and Irma and husband, Bud Caro; and five grandchidren, four step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy John Giroir; her parents, John M. and Eunice Robicheaux Dufren; one brother, John Dufren Jr.; and five sisters, Vesta Falgout, Irene Daigle, Jean Marie Dufren, Ida Falgout and Edith Porche.
She was a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
