Mae Duet Doucet, 94, a native of Galliano and resident of South Lafourche Nusing Home in Cut Off, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019.
Visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, December 2nd from 9 am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 am with burial to follow in Cheramie Cemetery.
Mae is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Livingston “Shine” Doucet; children, Carl and Mary Doucet; 19 siblings and parents, Felician and Louise Duet.
Mae is a retired custodian of Galliano Jr. High School. She enjoyed playing Bingo.
The family would like to thank the staff at the South Lafourche Nursing Home for their care and compassion.
