Mabel Thibodeaux Martin, 91, a native and resident of Chauvin, died Friday July 15, 2011 at 4:50 a.m.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 am.. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Judith "De Dee" Terrebonne and husband Rogers; one son, Rudy Martin and wife Linda; five grandchildren, Dana Terrebonne Shaw and husband Terry, Kurt Terrebonne, Amy Martin Verdin and husband Jimmy, Penny Martin Carlos and husband Laddie and Patty Martin; nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Louis Martin; her parents, Andrew Thibodeaux Sr. and Josephine Pellegrin Thibodeaux; one brother, Andrew Thibodeaux Jr.; six sisters, Viley T. Lapeyrouse, Eula T. Brunet, Emily T. Picou, Pearl T. Bergeron, Alice T. Boudreaux and Lois T. Farkas; and one step son, Russell Martin.
She was a parishoner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin and loved to travel, do crafts and garden. The family would like to thank Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Dr. Russell Henry and Darika Gray.
