Mabel Allemand Chauvin, 90, a native of Lockport and resident of Mathews, died at 11:33 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Mathews. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at Resurrection Memorial Park in Mathews.
She is survived by two daughters, Becky Walker and husband, Steve, and Nancy Breaux and husband, Randy; one daughter-in-law, Brenda Hunt; one sister, Dora Sevin; and six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Zenon Chauvin; her parents, Lubin Allemand Sr. and Lucia Melancon Allemand; one son, Michael Chauvin; six brothers, Alvin, Lubin Jr., Herbert, Norman, Lawrence, and Nolan Allemand; and three sisters, Emelda Hebert, Maude Bourgeois and Clara Belle Danos.
She was a parishioner of St. Hilary Catholic Church.
