Lynn “Pixie” Bush, 64, a resident of Des Allemands, LA, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020.
Pixie is survived by her husband of 42 years, Greg E. Bush, Sr.; sons, Greg Bush Jr. (Charlene), Timothy Bush; 4 grandchildren, Hadden, Ethan, Thomas and Katherine “Kass”; brothers, Douglas and David Patterson; sister, Deborah Ann Stukey and daughter-in-law, Kim Bush.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Elsie Stukey and sister, Louise Stukey.
Lynn, or more affectionately known as Pixie, spent her life caring for others. She raised her family, with her husband, throughout the United States and over the world in places like Turkey and Germany. Never to shy away from a challenge, Pixie made friends at every installation her husband was stationed at. She supported him and his career all while getting involved in the community. Pixie did this at every assignment as a volunteer in different organizations and in spouses groups and was always trying to help other soldiers and their families.
When they finally retired to Louisiana, her two sons started their own lives. Greg Jr. joined the Air Force and married Charlene, giving birth to Pixie’s first two grandchildren: Hadden and Ethan. Timothy joined the Army and married Kimberly whom gave birth to Pixie’s other grandchildren and the first girl in the family: Thomas and Katherine or Kass. She then poured herself into her son’s families and them at every assignment, it didn’t matter how far, how foreign, or how much it cost. She was always there. Pixie also never shied away from a challenge. She learned to tame and care for horses, rebuild a Ford truck engine, camped across America. Pixie had a great sense of humor and loved to just spend time with family and friends. Pixie always gave to others, always volunteered her time…she spent her life living!
