Luke Boyer

BOYER Luke L. Boyer, 87, a native and resident of Paradis, passed away at 2 AM on Saturday, June 2, 2012. Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland from 8 until funeral time on Wednesday. A military service and prayer service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday in the funeral home with burial to follow at St. Gertrude cemetery in Des Allemands. He is survived by his wife, Lillie Mae Peyregne Boyer; daughter, Lynell B. Sherrill and husband Joe; sons, Lowell J. Boyer and wife Karen Matherne Boyer and Lyle L. Boyer; 9 grandchildren, Rebecca, Chris, Mindy, Kyna, Lacy, Peter, Brian, Evan, and Sean; 9 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Joseph Boyer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean Pierre and Lillian Dugas Boyer and his sister, Beatrice LeGrande. He was a veteran of WWII and retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was a chief criminal deputy of St. Charles Parish Police Department.
