Lucretia "Amelia" Daigle Rousse

Lucretia “Amelia” Daigle Rousse, 89, a native and resident of Golden Meadow passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022.

Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow on Wednesday, May 11th from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Cheramie Cemetery.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Cheramie Jarreau (Henry “Bozo”), Jody P. Cheramie (Crystal), Norris Rousse, Jr. (Jonnie), Darla Rousse (Rusty Toups) and Tammy Rousse; grandchildren, Bobby Jarreau, Nicole Lorraine-Toups, Cory Jarreau, Adrienne Cheramie, Tally Cheramie, Brian Cheramie, Jr., Gabriel Cheramie, Erica Cheramie, Chelsey Allemand, Cody Billiot, William Cheramie, Ian Besson, Jaydon Cheramie, Luke Cheramie, Zack Rousse, Devin Cadierre and Brittney Hunter; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Daigle; sisters, Virgis Bouzigard and Jenny Theriot.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, 1st William J. Cheramie, Sr. 2nd Norris C. Rousse, Sr.; parents, Emile, Sr and Ernestine Boudreaux Daigle; sons, William Cheramie, Jr. and Brian Cheramie, Sr.; brothers, Ivry Daigle, Emile Daigle, Jr. and Louis Cheramie, Jr.; sisters, Shirley Bertagilo and Armenia Rodrigue.
