Loyman Cheramie

d. November 14, 2015

Loyman Pierre Cheramie, age 89, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away on November 14, 2015. He is survived by his 6 children: Greta (Garland) Brignac, Rachel Cheramie Friloux, Dewayne (Cheri) Cheramie, Faye (Larry) Easley, Jan (Mike) Patterson, and Dean Cheramie. He was lovingly known as Paw Paw to 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

He served in the U. S. Navy during the end of World War II. Loyman was a welder at Avondale Shipyards for 35 years, but had a lifelong love of woodworking. He enjoyed his retirement years with a craft business and delighted in repairing or building anything out of wood for friends and family. He meticulously kept a beautiful yard with abundant flowers for Inez, his beloved wife of 65 years, to enjoy. He loved the Lord and loved to use his gifts to serve others at church and church camps. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgement, but has passed from death into life." John 5:24

The family would like to thank all of the Medical Professionals and caregivers who have helped us these last few years.
