Loveless Joseph Melancon, 80, a native and resident of Raceland, died Monday, August 12, 2013.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
He is survived by his sisters, Corinne Sapia and Lena Pierce; three grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Una Mae Melancon; daughter, Carolyn Larousse; parents, Johnny and Hedwage Theriot Melancon; brothers, Ivy, Willie, Wilmer and Ronald Melancon; and sisters, Irene Martin and Elma Bonvillian.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
