Louis Bernard

Louis Bernard, 88, a native of Golden Meadow, La. and a resident of Galliano, La. passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 with his loving family at his side. 

A private burial service will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Galliano, at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

 Louis is survived by his sons, Neal Bernard (Angelle Pierce) and Kevin (Mitzi) Bernard; Grandchildren Madison Bernard, Jacob Bernard, Kimberly (Vince) Gore. Greatgrandchild Charlotte Pierce Gore ; Sisters, Thelma B. Leonard, & Mary Ann B. Pierce; Godchildren Stacey Bernard Gonzales, Theresa Terrebonne; Sisters in law, Rose Bernard, Nina Bernard, Sandra (David) Griffin Pitre, Evelyn Gautreaux Griffin. 

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Geraldine Griffin Bernard, his parents, Alcide Bernard and Pauline Williams Bernard; brothers, Dudley (Mary Lee), Norris (Ezola), Stanley (Mary), Melvin, Charles (Joyce), Bill (Suzie) and Douglas Bernard. Brothers in law, Adam Leonard, Kernest “Coon” Pierce, Donald Griffin and Rodney Griffin.
