Louanna Bruce, 85, a native and resident of Larose, LA, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Holy Savior Catholic Church, Lockport, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Friday with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Tilman Bruce Jr. and Nathan Bruce; daughters, Louanna Esponge (Brent), Darlene Verdin (Russell) and Donna Horak (James); son-in-law, Lonnie Boudreaux, grandchildren, Tiffany Boudreaux, Allie Boudreaux-Downey (Jack), Katie Boudreaux, Kristina Verdin and Michael Horak; great grandchildren, Kodi Boudreaux and Nikki Thibodaux and brother, Leroy Barrios.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tilman Bruce Sr.; parents, Elves and Marie Barrios and infant brother Barrios.
She enjoyed rocking on her porch in the sun, eating out, taking care of her plants, cheering on Joe Gris (Drew Brees) and the Saints, "Bae Bae" Orgeron and LSU and yelling at wrestling on TV.
The family would like to thank Lady of the Sea Hospital 2nd floor; Terrebonne General Medical Center CCU and 4th floor and Dr. Camille Pitre, Dr. Fritz Rau, Dr. Eric Rau, Dr. Russell Henry and Dr. Donald Schwab.
