Lorraine Theresa Kraemer Ledet, 69. She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Church and a resident of Houma, died at 1:07 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 due to multiple medical problems.
Visitation will be from 6 pm to 9 pm Monday, July 18 at Falgout Funeral Home, Houma. Visitation will continue Tuesday 8 am at Falgout Funeral Home Funeral. Funeral Services will begin at 10 am with interment in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
She is survived by her children; one son, Ferris J. Ledet Jr. and wife Tanya, 4 daughters Lisa Foret, Cindy L. Braud and husband Tim, Gertie L. Bergeron and husband Kevin S. Bergeron, and Christen L. Scott and husband Brandon; 1 brother, Gene Kraemer and wife Patricia, 3 sisters, Rosalie Day, Mary Dean Kraemer, and Cynthia Kraemer; 13 grandchildren, Kert Ledet, Shontell and husband Roy, Trina and husband Joshua, Shenah Foret, Alysee Boudreaux, Keith and wife Macy, Amber and husband Dereck, Valerie and husband Keith, Victoria and husband Brandon, Derrick Darcey, Heather Bergeron, Logan Scott, Kade Scott. 23 great-grandchildren; Kamron, Kambria, Kadence, Makenzie, Yvonne, Madison, Tabitha, Samantha, Jae'den, Beckham, Hayden, Gracie, Makayla, Ethan, Skylar, Branson, Zandyn, Isaiah, Kourtney, Haley, Brennon, Harmony, Noah. 2 godchildren; Monique Monnier, and Susan Kozeracki. Numerous nieces and nephews and fur grand pups.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ferris J. Ledet Sr., her parents; Aurelien P. Kraemer Sr. and mother Helena Bourg Kraemer and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. John Kraemer, 1 god child Barry Kraemer and 1 great-grandchild Lexie Faith Bonvillain. 5 Brothers; Howard Sr., Aurelien Jr., Willard Sr., Steven, Stanley, and 2 Sisters Vesta Perkins and Gloria Kraemer.
Lorraine was a great mother, sister, friend, grandmother and great- grandmother. She loved being with the family for gatherings or just spending the day at home with everyone. She loved playing scrabble with her grandkids and sometimes enjoyed playing the game alone. Lorraine was a care taker for many years. Lorraine had the love of music and danced every opportunity she was given. Her true passion was poetry. She has always enjoyed writing her own poems. She ironed clothes for many special people that were dear to her heart. She is loved by many and missed by everyone.
