Lorida A. Rogers, 87, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Cut Off, died at 10:58 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Olivia R. Guidry and husband, Roy, and Karen Rogers; brother, Roy Anselmi; sisters, Austreda Collins, Clauodet Duet and Verda Guidroz; grandchildren, Angela "Angie" Bruce and husband, Wendell, and Tara Allemand and husband, James; and great-grandchildren, Allen and Christopher Allemand, and Korik and Belle Bruce.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Early T. Rogers; parents, Alexson and Angelina Guidry Anselmi; two brothers, Fedless Anselmi and Gilbert Auseve; and two sisters, Leona Guidry and Leoda Williams.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church and a member of American Legion Auxiliary in Golden Meadow.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
