Lois Mary Deroche Forrest

Lois Mary Deroche Forrest, age 84, of Bayou Gauche, LA passed away on August 23, 2022 in Hull, IL. Born February 21, 1938, she was the daughter of Joseph Deroche and Chloe (Picou) Deroche in Bayou Gauche, LA. Lois was married to George Forrest on April 3, 1965 in Louisiana. He precedes her in death.

Lois was a self-employed wholesale distributor. She attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis, LA. Where she served as president of the Ladies Club for over 30 years. In 1999, she was the recipient of the Order of St. Louis IX Medallion in New Orleans, LA. Lois served over 35 years as Treasurer of the Bayou Gauche Volunteer Fire Department. She loved her family and community very much.

Survivors include her daughter Gaynell (Kevin) Ayo. Three grandchildren Ashley (Jeremy) Holland, Lindsey Ayo, and Blake Ayo.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland, LA. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Catholic Church Cemetery.
