Lois Rita Blanchard, 85, a native of Lockport and resident of Larose, passed away at 4:07 pm, Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Lady of the Sea Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation from 11:00 am to funeral time Monday, January 15, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 pm Monday at the church with interment in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Becky Rogers (Dean), Melanie Duet (Bryan), Eddie J. Blanchard III (Risa), Allison Fullilove (companion, Mark), Celeste Cuneo (Michael Jr.) and Susan Curole (Bryan); grandchildren, Adam (Shana), Carl, Daniel (Sharon), Kristen, Brittney (Ethan), Megan (Alan), Carly (Brandon), Janie, Jack, Kayla, Josh, Chelsea, Alec (Makaila), Thomas, Nicholas, Jacob, Caroline, Elizabeth and Jacob; great grandchildren, Alaura, Makela, Paige, Morgan, Ava, Brayden, Jemma, Aiden and one arriving in mid July.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie J. Blanchard Jr; son-in-law, Joey J. Fullilove; her parents, Robert S. Blanchard and Agatha Vedros Blanchard; five brothers, Shelby, Robert, Edwin, Roy and Jerry Blanchard and one sister, Bernice "Bunny" Bollinger.
She was former secretary for LPSB, an avid reader, sports fan, loving mother and grandmother.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Holy Rosary Catholic School or Lafourche Parish Public Library.
