Lloyd "Uncle Lloyd" Joseph Ellender, 83, a native and resident of Montegut died at 10:20 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2012.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at Falgout Chapel. Services will begin at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow in the Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lee Dupre Ellender; one son; step-sons, Keith Eschete, Carlton Jr., Cleveland, Faron and Bryan Naquin; one daughter; step-daughters, Pauline Brunet, Myra Trahan, Melinda Trosclair, Mary Prosperie, Rachel Kibodeaux; brothers, Ronald and Davis Ellender; special nephew, Sam Larson; sister, Joyce LePoma; 23 step-grandchildren; and 17 step-great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Exnicious Ellender; daughter and Godchild, Dawn Naquin; brothers, Roy, Stephen, and Burt Ellender; and his sister, Ruby Portier.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 0272. He was a the proprietor of Uncle Lloyd's Hobby Shop.
He was a retired trawler and retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years.
