L.J. Lovell, 57, a native and resident of Bayou Dularge, Theriot, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Eloi Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene Lovell; two sons, Slade Lovell and wife, Chantelle, and Shea Lovell and wife, Danielle; one daughter, Christie Guidry and husband, Jessie Jr.; one brother, Bradford Lovell; eight sisters, Anna Mae Theriot, Carol Bergeron, Linda Pierre, Glenda Verdin, Patricia Blackwell, Dolores Lacoste, Mavis Schexnayder and Ruby Dehart; seven grandchildren, Brooke, Bree, Braxston, Cole, and Ethan Lovell, Chanler and Jessalyn Guidry; and his mother-in-law, Willa Babin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Nora Lovell; three brothers, Paul, Leroy, and Atlas Lovell; two sisters, Eulamae Lovell and Jacinitha "Cinti" Romero; and his father-in-law, Donald "Seeposse" Babin.
He was a commercial fisherman and a dedicated husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He was a member of Dularge House of Praise.
