Linda Matherne Dufrene

Linda Matherne Dufrene, 79, a native of Des Allemands, LA and a resident of Larose, LA, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday, August 18, 2023 at Falgout Funeral Home, Lockport, LA and from 8:30 am until 10:30 am on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Christian Fellowship Church, Cut Off, LA. Religious services will be at 10:30 am with burial to follow in Des Allemands Mennonite Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Tarvin Dufrene, Sr.; son. Tarvin Dufrene, Jr. (Dawn); daughter, Angel Gisclair (Mickey); son-in-law, Kevin Plaisance; grandchildren, Savannah (Neil), Travis, Jasmin (Ryan), Macie (Chaz), Logan, Haisley, Brittany, Garrett and Savannah; great grandchildren, Ambrie, Zeth, Miken, Harlon, Adelyn, Stetson, Brenna, Bobbi, Brayden, Alec, Jamerson, Gaige, Brodie, Eli and Dax; great-great grandchild, Kydin; sisters, Janet Dufrene and Bonnie Dufrene.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Marilyn Dufrene and Tanya Dufrene Plaisance; parents, Nerman “Pete” Matherne and Lillie Mae Matherne; in-laws, Irvin and Julianne Dufrene and brothers-in-law, Jackson Dufrene and Vincent Dufrene.
