Lillian "Lynn" Loupe Plaisance, 90, a native of Delta Farm in Larose, and a resident of Lockport, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017.
Visitation will be held from 9 AM until service time on Wednesday, September 20 at Holy Savior Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday at the church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Dick Plaisance, Frank Plaisance Jr., and Jack Plaisance; daughters, Margaret Breaux (Gary), Mary Curole (Donald), and Emily St. Clair (Kevin); sisters, Helen Hebert, Doris Cretini, Emily Melancon, and Marie LeCompte; 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Plaisance Sr.; parents, Edward J. Loupe Sr. and Amelia A. Loupe; brothers, Albert Loupe and Edward Loupe Jr.; and sisters, Lou Emma Matherne, Norma Ledet, and Amanda Lombas.
She spent her whole life growing and selling vegetables to many people on the bayou. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church. The family would like to thank the staff of The Medical Team and Haydel Memorial Hospice for their continuous care and compassion. A special thanks to Ms. Bernadine, Ms. Mieka, Ms. Toodie, and Brother Bob.
