Lillian Rome Mayet, 96, of Lockport, Louisiana passed away on November 16th after having lived a full and beautiful life in which she guided generations with her unconditional love, acts of kindness and words of wisdom.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elsnert "Billy" Mayet; her parents, Sidonia Candies Rome and Joseph West Rome, brothers Ewell, Richard, George, Harold and Willie Rome, sisters, May Breaux, Beulah Christen, Julia Lytell, Audrey St. Amant and Corrine Eschette. She is survived by her sisters, Grace Delaune, Dora Champagne and Jean Theriot along with many adoring nieces and nephews to whom she was known as "Nanny Mayet." She loved life, family, flowers and her puppy dogs.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Holy Savior Catholic Church, Lockport, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
