Levy Joseph Griffin, Jr., 87, a native of Golden Meadow and a resident of Cut Off was born January 25, 1929 and died January 10, 2017 at 9:12 PM.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Golden Meadow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday with burial to follow in Cheramie Cemetery, Galliano, LA.
He is survived by his children, Nona G. Vizier (Evans), Noreen G. Marcello (William), son, Russell Griffin (Sheila), Rosalind G. Melancon (John); grandchildren, Shad Vizier (Shannon), Travis Vizier (Amanda), Michelle Griffin, Mandi Griffin (Tony), Blake Marcello (Astrid), Meghan Ray (Robert); great grandchildren, Macey Vizier, Hayley Vizier, Tyler Vizier, Carrington Vizier, Chloe Vizier, Levy Vizier, Audie Pitre (Shay), Claire Griffin, Henry Joseph Marcello; great-great grandchild, Hadleigh Pitre and sister, Lorraine G. Bouzigard (Ivy).
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Clara Belle Cheramie Griffin; parents, Levy J. Griffin. Sr. and Rozina Cheramie Griffin and sister, Bernice Griffin.
A heartfelt thanks to all at CIS and the Doctors and Nurses and Staff at Terrebonne General Medical Center for all the wonderful care during his final days.
