Lester "Chippy" Griffin, Jr., 48, a native of Raceland and resident of Larose passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018.
Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Friday, February 23rd from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. with burial in the church cemetery.
Chippy is survived by his parents, Lester and Mona Gautreaux Griffin; daughters, Lainey Griffin (Shawna) and Taylor Griffin; fiancé, Brittney Elliott; siblings, Aaron Griffin (Stephanie) and Alissa Griffin; grandmother, Lena Gautreaux; godfather, Bobby Gautreaux; godchildren, Brandi Griffin and Luke Robichaux; four legged friend, Oswald.
Chippy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Abel and Judith Griffin and L.E. Gautreaux; godmother, Emilie Roussel.
Chippy was employed by Louisiana Caterpillar of Morgan City. He was a Marine Corp Veteran. He was an avid NHRA, Saints and L.S.U. Tiger fan. He loved fishing, duck hunting, and cooking outside.
