Leroy Joseph Ledet, 75, a native of Galliano and resident of Golden Meadow, died Monday, Oct. 24, 2011.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. Religious services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Louverda Jackson Ledet; formerly married to Lorena "Pooky" Rousse; two sons, Stony Ledet and wife, Rosanne, and Roddy Ledet and wife, Sandra; three stepsons, Norvel Jackson Jr. and wife, Cissy, Lorris Jackson and wife, Patsy, and Harold Jackson and wife, Terry; two daughters, Margo Ledet Oholandt and husband, Mike, and Lorie Ledet Pierce and husband, James; four stepdaughters, Lou J. Estay and husband, Allen, Cheryl J. Simms, Linda Jackson, and Stella Mobley and husband, John; one sister, Marion L. Cooper and husband, Gary; 10 grandchildren, 19 step-grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor "Bad Grass" Ledet and Clarice G. Ledet; one stepson, Allen Jackson; one daughter, Trudy L. Loupe; one sister, Gloria Ledet; and one stepgrandson, Michael Mobley.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
