Leota Matherne Dominique, Age: 82, a native and resident of Gheens died on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 in Raceland.
Visitation will commence from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. procession time on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland. The Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gheens. Entombment will follow at St. Hilary Mausoleum in Mathews.
She is survived by her son, Ted Dominique, Sr.; five daughters, Ruby Plaisance and husband Wade F., Joanne Adams, Charlene Davaine and husband Claude, Priscilla Foret and husband Charles, Jr., and Missy Descant and husband Tommy; two brothers, Raymond Matherne and Nolan Matherne; one sister, Joyce Boudreaux. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Armond Dominique; parents, Leon Matherne and Louise Molaison Matherne; son-in-law, Rodney Adams; one brother, Lester Matherne; two sisters, Leona Dufrene and Shirley Estay, and a grandchild, Michelle Adams.
She was a member of Raceland Senior Citizens and the Ladies Altar Society of St. Hilary Catholic Church.
