Leota Dominique Ballard, 82, a native and resident of Gheens and former resident of Grand Isle, died at 11:12 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Brushwood Cemetery in Dubberly.
She is survived by her sons, Donald John (Sandra) Matherne, Ernest "Ernie" (Genesia) Ballard Jr., and Albert "Albie" (Melissa) Drew Ballard; four daughters, Linda Ballard (Mike) Boyd, Vicki Ballard (Doug) Carter, Tomi Ballard Cox and companion, Kellie Chaisson, and Tami Ballard (Billy) Culbreath; one brother, Carter Dominique; one sister, Nell Dominique O'Gynn; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest "E.G." Ballard; parents, Albert Dominique Jr. and Elmire Orgeron Dominique; one brother, Dudley Dominique; and one sister, Tillie LeBouef.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
