Mrs. Leonie Picou Chiasson, age 91, a native of Grand Isle and resident of Cut Off, LA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 26, 2016.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose from 9:00 am until mass time at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her five sons, Phillip, Jr. (wife, Bobbie). Gerald "Joe" (wife, Melanie), Douglas, Sr. (wife, Glorietta), Billy (wife, Pamela) and Danny (wife, Dawn); 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Phillip J. "P.J." Chiasson, Sr; parents, Antoine "PaDou" and Odile Savoie Picou; brother, George Picou.
Leonie was a Larose High School Graduate, Class of 1941 and a member of the Ladies Altar Society. Leonie had a great love of family, the Church and an all-around zest for life. She will be missed dearly!!
