Leonard Paul Marcel, Sr., 78, a native and resident of Houma, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017.
Visitation will be held from 6 PM until 9 PM on Wednesday, February 1 and from 8 AM until service time on Thursday, February 2 at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. A prayer service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at St. Francis de Sales cemetery II.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Idola Portier Marcel; sons, Leonard Paul Marcel Jr. (Karen), Jeffrey Joseph Marcel (Penny), and Jimmy Marcel (Candy); sister-in-law, Dolores Marcel, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeffrey and Effie LeBoeuf Marcel; siblings, Wilbert and James Marcel, Ethel Larpenter, and Lena Portier.
