Leafy Mary Foret Knight, 90, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 1:09 am on Monday, January 16, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home, in Raceland, on Thursday, January 26th from 6 pm until 9 pm and will continue on Friday at the funeral home from 8 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 am at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
Leafy is survived by one son, Michael Knight and wife, Amie; four daughters, Debra Knight, Karen Foret and husband Rudy, Angela Guillot and husband Mark and Sandy Knight; grandchildren, Ben Foret and wife, Lucy, Adam Foret and wife Ashley, Paul Guillot and wife Amy, Quinton Knight, Allie Bouziga and husband Jace, Dustin Knight and wife Maddie, Casey Knight and fiancée Mackenzie; granddaughter-in-law, Kylie Guillot; great-grandchildren, Aurora and Dallas Foret, Caleb, Kelsie and Norah Guillot and Ezra Bouziga.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Bert P. Knight; parents, Eddie and Anne L. Foret; daughter, Jean Marie Knight; grandson, Matthew J. Guillot; great-granddaughter, Adaley Scarlet Foret; brothers, Harris “Blackie” Foret and Murphy P. Foret and sister, Annabel Foret.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 349 and St. Mary’s Nativity Altar Society. She enjoyed going to all family activities, sewing, casino trips, dancing, traveling to Branson and Las Vegas and going to Saints games.

In lieu of flowers, Mass donations are preferred or donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
