Laura B. Rousse

Laura B. Rousse, 91, a native and resident of Larose, LA, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2021.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose, LA from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Catholic mass and burial to follow at 11:00 a.m.
Laura is survived by her children; Herman Ledet (Vicky), Sharon Pierce (Keith), Cookie Arceneaux (Alvin), and Troy Rousse (Devin), grandchildren; Lani Rousse, Danielle Pierce, Ryan Arceneaux, Lee Ledet, Lance Ledet, and Dawn Pierce, great-grandchildren; Meranda Plaisance, Brenden, Breelen, Bransen and Brycsen Friel, Abbey Griffin, Lance Ledet, Jr., Kobe and Ally Arceneaux , Dylan and Raleigh Rousse, great-great grandchild; Lauren Plaisance, siblings; Vicky, Daisy, and Numa Breaux.
Laura was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Herman Ledet, Sr., 2nd husband; Tillman Rousse, parents; Duffy Breaux, Sr. and Victoria St. Pierre Breaux, siblings; Elsie, Annie, Mabel, Lula, Ethel, Emelda, Clarence, Duffy, Jr., Alben and Lester Breaux.
Laura was a loving mother and Mawmaw. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She was famous for her white beans and chicken salad. Dancing, going to Casinos and playing cards with friends always made her happy. She loved Mardi Gras and decorating for Christmas. Laura enjoyed life, family members, and many friends. She was always there to brighten the lives of others.
