Laura Dugas Richard

Laura D. Richard, 75, a native of Houma who lived in Fort Smith, Arkansas for 40+ years and a resident of Houma, La. Passed away on Sunday December 12, 2021 with her loving family near her side.
Visitation will be on December 21, 2021 Tuesday, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church from 9:00am until funeral services. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with burial at St. Francis #2.
Laura is survived by her daughter; Cathy R. Hill, grandson; Joshua Cripps, great-grandson; Maxwell Cripps, brothers; Wilson “Louis” Dugas, III (Loretta), Dan Dugas (Monica), sisters; Ida D. Bergeron, Carey D. Thibodeaux (Timmy), sister-in-law; Glenda Dugas, her bonus daughters; Lisa B. Shoffey, Michelle G. Greenfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents; Wilson L. and Lois LeBlanc Dugas, brother; Glenn Dugas, brother-in-law; Philip Bergeron, nephew; Craig Dugas.
Laura was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
Laura was a teacher at Albert Pike Elementary for 40+ years and was a substituent teacher in Terrebonne Parish for many years.
