Laura Spiess Peterson

Laura Spiess Peterson, age 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 25, 2019 in Gonzales, LA. She was a native of New Orleans and had most recently resided in Gray. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. Laura was a former special education teachers – aide. She loved God and was a very generous gift giver and had lots of pen pals.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Falgout Funeral Home of Houma from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Immediately following the visitation the Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Grace Christian Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Survivors include daughters, Kathleen P. Cannizzaro (Gregory), Karen P. Roussel (Drew), four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Laura was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Raymond Edward Peterson, parents, William Percy and Estelle Rose Cochran Spiess, sisters, Linda Pipitone and Luana Blasio.
Falgout Funeral Home of Houma are in charge of arrangements.
