Laura Barrilleaux Lee, 83, native of Larose, La., resident of Katy, Texas, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at 1:24 p.m. (due to complications from Pneumonia).
Visitation will be held on Friday, , from 11 a.m. until service time at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 1 p.m., with burial following in the church Mausoleum.
She is survived by her son, Russell "Shoo-Shoo" Griffin, of Carencro, La.; her daughter, Kim Lee Wagner and husband Kevin, of Katy, Texas.; grandchildren: Nicholas Griffin and wife Jeri, of Houma, La.; Kathryn Lee Wagner and Jason Bradley "JB" Wagner, of Katy, Texas.; sister-in-law, Helen Lafont Barrilleaux Dardar, of Larose; and a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Lee; son, Garry Lee; her parents, Lawrence J. Barrilleaux and Philomena Marisco Barrilleaux; brothers: Arthur "Pip" Barrilleaux, Frank Barrilleaux, Thomas "Tom" Barrilleaux, her twin brother, Lawrence "Do-Do" Barrilleaux; and her sister, Alice "Tee-Tee" Barrilleaux.
Laura enjoyed traveling and helping others. She was an active member of her community and enjoyed volunteering for meals on wheels. She was also member of the Young at Heart Senior Group and the Red Hat Society.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
