Larry Paul Marcel, 72, a native and resident of Bayou Black, LA passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Bayou Black. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Corey Marcel and wife Melissa; daughters, Kate Giroir and husband
Gerard, and Kandy Adams and husband Mickey; six grandchildren, Kevin Mitchell, Chasity
Marcel, Katie Marcel, Mason Giroir, Gage Brunet, and Jace Adams; twin brother, Harry Marcel
and wife Willjanne; sister, Judy Scott and husband Floyd; In-Laws, Allen and Jeannie LeCompte,
George and Pat Bergeron, Sterling and Susan Martin, Earl and Angela Bergeron, Lisa Bergeron,
and Keith and Martha Bergeron; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bergeron Marcel and parents, Francis and Bernice
Marcel.
He was a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church and a member of the Bayou Black
Volunteer Fire Department. Larry was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He enjoyed hunting,
fishing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
