Landry Charpentier, 76, a native and resident of Cut Off went to be with the Lord on Aug 3, 2012. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday Aug 6, 2012 and from 8 a.m. 12:30 p.m. Tuesday Aug 7, 2012 at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. Services will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial following in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Veleria Cheramie Charpentier, 7 daughters Connie Bouziga & husband James, Penny Williams & husband Kirk, Melissa Pitre, Paula Mejia &husband Gable, Arlene, Lisa & Verna Charpentier, 4 sons Wade Charpentier & wife Michelle, Hank Charpentier & companion Gloria Reyes, Scott Charpentier & companion Amy, Lance Charpentier & wife Rachal, 19 grandchildren Tyler and Dorree Cheramie, Gloria Bouziga, Travis Bouziga & wife Sherry, Colby Charpentier & companion Ashley, Sky Williams, Klye Williams, Wendy Valenzuela, Candid Charpentier & companion Micheal, Gable Mejia Jr. & wife Shawntel, Scarlett Doise & husband Phillip, Dereck Mejia & companion Toya, Jasmine Charpentier, Brandon Charpentier, Tia Charpentier, Andrea Charpentier, Zoe Charpentier, Trent Dardar, Hunter Charpentier, 7 great-great grandchildren Jaedyn Bouziga, Porter Bouziga, Kaden Valenzuela, Josie Lafont, Dylan Mejia, Brance Mejia, Mylie Mejia, 2 brothers Harold & Herbert Charpentier and 1 sister Gloria Danos.

He was preceded in death by his parents Levy & Justilia Charpentier, 2 brothers Levy Jr & Gustve Charpentier, 2 sisters Syliva Cheramie & Alice Exnicious, 1 great-grandson Blake Valenzuela, 1 son-in-law Stevie Pitre,

He was a Catholic and a retired tug boat Captain. One of his many hobbies included making wine. He loved making his own brand of wine and giving it to his family & friends. He loved going to `Camp Fluffy & fishing, trawling, & picking oysters. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be truly missed and forever in our hearts till we meet again.
