Kirn Joseph Cavalier, 89, a native of Lafourche Parish and a resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at St. Hilary Catholic Church, Raceland, LA. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Raceland, LA.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Davis Cavalier; son, Michael Cavalier (Carrie); daughters, Annette Cavalier Babin (Tim) and Sharon Cavalier Roche (Robert); grandchildren, Michael Cavalier, Jr. (Cindy), Lindsey Orgeron (Brock), Brittney Ledet (Holden), Brett Babin (Andrea) and Tori Roche; great grandchildren, Charlotte Ledet, Harvey Ledet, Isabella Cavalier, Jillian Orgeron and sister, Greta Cavalier.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Cavalier and Detta Bergeron Cavalier; brothers, Lloyd Cavalier and Clark Cavalier.
Kirn was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 349 of Raceland. Kirn was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a gentle, kind and humble man, who was devoted to God, family and his community. Kirn had a great sense of humor, loved to tell jokes, laugh, and had a great smile. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
