Kenneth Leo Chaisson, 71, a native and resident of Houma, passed away peacefully at his home among family and friends at 3:46 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 3:46 P.M.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. A prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Verdin Chaisson; six children, Kay Chaisson, Kim Faciane and partner, Mike Dufrene, Kenny Chaisson and partner, Roland LeBlanc Jr., Karla Chaisson and parter, Jenny LeBlanc, Wilson "Shine" Leonard and wife, Anita, and Belinda Leonard and partner, "Lil" Al Eschete; three sisters, Barbara Clement and husband, Levy, and Elaine Hebert and husband, Peter, Lois Breaux; sister-in-law, Catherine Chaisson; six grandchildren, Toby Scott, Ashley Faciane, Jared Trahan, Danita, Shawna, and Caleb Leonard; four great-grandchildren, Desmonde Faciane, Kinsley Nguyen, Alexandra and Ava Trahan; special aunt whom he loved, Willa Babin; very close friend who was like a son, Herbert Fitch; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Della Allemand Chaisson; two daughters, Mary and Kelly Chaisson; brother, Francis Chaisson; and brother-in-law, Anthony Breaux.
He was a retired machinist who loved hunting, fishing, and watching the Saints. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
