Keith A. "Buford" Breaux, 53, a native and resident of Houma, passed away at 6 p.m. Sunday Aug. 4, 2013, after a courageous battle with stage IV lung cancer.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bayou Black. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in Bayou Black Cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, Floyd Anthony and Dolores Rita Dupre Breaux; brothers, David M. Breaux and Brian C. and wife, Dione Monnier Breaux; sisters, Gail Breaux Champagne and companion, Ricky T. Trahan, and Cathy Breaux Louviere and husband, Heath Louviere; five nephews; three nieces and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Norris A. "Manee" Breaux and Corrine Champagne Breaux; maternal grandparents, Renaud J. and Virgie Naquin Dupre; step-grandmother, Thelma Breaux; uncles, Reynold "Bugs" Dupre and Edmond "Nan" Trahan; aunt, Theresa Breaux Trahan; and cousin, Reggie J. Breaux.
He was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and was employed by the Wood Group of Houma. His favorite things were hunting, fishing and farming in the family field. He loved being outdoors.
