Kathy M., Bruce

Kathy M. Bruce, 61, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Cut Off passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017.

Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 5th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and will resume at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Kathy is survived by her parents, Hector, Jr. and Betty Badeaux Martin; companion, Louis "Sturgeon" Broussard; son, Bobby J. Bruce (Ariel); sister, Brenda Guidry; 3 grandchildren.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Bruce; grandparents, Horace and Hattie Badeaux and Hector, Sr. and Evelia T. Martin.

Kathy was a dedicated mother to her son Bobby, whom she loved more than the world. She loved both Bobby and her daughter-in-law, Ariel, with a full and giving heart. Her wishes and life came together when she was finally, after 10 years, blessed with three beautiful grandchildren. Even through all of her trials of sickness, Kathy never faltered on the love she had for her family. It is not enough to say that she will be dearly missed. There will forever be a hole in our hearts that only a loving mother can fill. We love you, we miss you, and until we meet again, know Mom, that you will forever be in our hearts.
