Kathy Blanchard

Kathy F. Blanchard, 56, went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving family on February 13, 2015 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Visitation will take place at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland on Sunday February 15, 2015 from 4:00 pm till 9:00 pm and at St. Mary's Nativity Church in Raceland on Monday February 16, 2015 from 8:00 am till service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am at the church with cremation to follow.
Mrs. Kathy is survived by her loving husband 38 years Keith E. Blanchard, her children Jude Blanchard, Hope B. LaForest and husband Matthew LaForest, grandson Hudson Michael LaForest, father Hudson H. Foret, siblings Jackie Danos and husband James Danos, Judy Watts and husband Donald Watts, Karen LeBlanc, Ralph Foret Sr. and wife Charla Foret, and Barry Foret and wife Tana Foret, and mother-in-law Neddie B. Blanchard.
Mrs. Blanchard was preceded in death by her mother Madge B. Foret, father-in-law Deacon Edward Blanchard, niece Noel LeBlanc, and nephew Zachary Michael Foret.
Mrs. Kathy was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 3665 and the Daughters of the American Legion Post 349. She enjoyed being a homemaker and caretaker of her family, and loved spending as much time as possible with her new grandson Hudson. She was an employee of Sealand Marine LLC in Houma as a Senior Purchasing Agent for many years and was a recipient of the Best of Chouest award in October 2014.
