Junius "T-June" Benoit, Sr., age 78, a native and resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church on Thursday, March 30, 2017, from 9:00 am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the church starting at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Junius is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Louise Boudreaux Benoit; sons, Junius J. Benoit Jr. (Sharon), Darrel P. Benoit (Loma); daughters, Gail B. Melancon (Russell Jr.), Arlene B. Orgeron (Steven), Florence B. Dufrene (Mark), Cheryl B. Barlow (David Sr.), Janice B. Triche (Kerwin); brother, Clifton J. Benoit; sister, Shirley B. Hoffpauier; 17 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Benoit and Laura C. Benoit LeBlanc; brothers, David Benoit, Clarence J. Benoit; sister, Delores B. Fields.
The family would like to thank Audubon Nursing Home especially Division D for their care and compassion.
