Julie Marie Dufrene Chiasson, 80, a native of Bayou Gauche and resident of Luling, died at 3:35 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse J. Chiasson; four sons, Richard and wife, Linda, Adrian and wife, Charlene, Brett and wife, Ginger, and Terry and wife, Perri Lynn; six grandchildren, Rachelle, Brandy, Ryan, Megan, Ashley and Clint; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Michelle and Lauryn; one brother, Allen P. Dufrene; and a foster sister, Earline Dufrene.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George B. Dufrene and Clothilde M. Dufrene; two sisters, Augustina Tina Dufrene and Ida D. Toups; three brothers, Joseph, George Jr., and Nolan Dufrene; and a foster brother, Norbert Bourgeois.
The family would like to thank Audubon Health and Rehab and Thibodaux Regional Hospital.
