Juanita Pitre Remont, 83, a native of New Orleans, LA. and resident of Galliano, LA. passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023.
Visitation will be Friday, November 10, 2023 at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano, LA. from 9:00am until service time. A celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:00am with burial to follow at Hebert Cemetery.
Juanita is survived by her daughters, Michelle R.(Brian) Ledet and Nichole R. (Chad) Bourgeois; grandchildren, William, Zee, Therin and Anna Ledet, Ian and Ema Bourgeois; sister, Audrey Guidry; in-laws, Catherine & Ray Callahan, Sherry & Sidney Orgeron and Deborah & Don David.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Remont; parents, Pierre & Lenore Letrop Pitre; brothers, Pierre “Guy”, Robert,and Linwood Pitre; sister, Iona Adams; in-laws, Olive “Nookie” Pitre, Rose Pitre, David Guidry and Ray Adams, Donald & Janette Price.
Juanita was known as Aunt Tot by her many nieces and nephews and her love for cats she was AKA the CAT whisperer.
