Joyce Degruise Plaisance, 77, native and resident of Raceland, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Mathews. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland.
She is survived by four sons, Wayne Plaisance, Ricky Plaisance and wife, Mona, Dennis Plaisance and wife, Tammy, and Peter Plaisance and wife, Ann; one daughter, Peggy Howes and husband, Wade; one brother, Wilfred Degruise; and 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Plaisance; her parents, Adonis and Josephine Bye Degruise; one brother, Sidney Degruise; two sisters, Mildred Rodriguez and Mae Waguespack; and one great-grandchild.
She was a parishioner of St. Hilary Catholic Church.
