Joyce Mary Pitre, 75, a native and resident of Houma, died at 2:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2014.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemtery.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Jr., and James and wife, Tabatha Pitre; daughters, Mrs. Darrell (Charlotte) Parfait, and Debbie Pitre and companion, Lee; brother, Joseph Deroche and wife, Trudy; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Joseph Pitre Sr.; parents, Joseph August and Edna Mary McElroy Deroche; brothers, Ernest and Gordon Deroche; and sister, Rita Duplantis.
Falgout Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
