Joyce Cortez

Joyce Marie Keller (Rome) Cortez, 83, a native of Hahnville and resident of Des Allemands passed away on November 17, 2017. A visitation will take place on Tuesday November 21, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Des Allemands (17022 Highway 90 Des Allemands, LA) from 9:00 am until service time. Funeral Services will begin at 12 noon with burial following in Mennonite Cemetery.

Ms. Joyce is survived by her children; Linda Kraemer (Henry Jr.), Kathie Mancuso (Elliot), Randy Rome (Anna), Della Guilliot (Dale), Cindy Candies (Marshall), Bonnie Baudoin (companion, Jamie Dempster), Terry Rome (fiancée Cheryl Deslatte), Fred Cortez Jr., Kevin Cortez Sr., Kent Cortez (Pamela), and Jamie Cortez (Rachel), 32 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and siblings; Elmo Keller, Rosemary "Rosie Robert (Milton), and Denis Keller Jr. (Susan).

Ms. Cortez was preceded in death by her first husband; Harold Joseph Rome, second husband; Fred "Peanut" William Cortez Sr., an infant child, grandchildren; Dustin and Christopher, great-grandchild; Kevin III "KJ", son-in-law; David Baudoin Sr., parents Dennis Keller Sr. and Maud Champagne Keller, step-mother; Effie Champagne Keller, and sister-in-law Elaine Keller.
