Joyce Sampey Adams, 81, a native of Gheens and resident of Raceland, died at 6:35 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. Visitation will also be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Raceland. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Lester P. Adams; son, Jody Adams and wife, Mary Jo; daughters, Connie Chiasson and husband, Dennis, and Moraine Griffin and husband, Rhett; sister, Annirie Richoux; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Venice and Lelia Sampey.
She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
